In Hall of Sentient Mirrors, you and up to three other self-important adventurers play cooperatively to save the dying realm of Direcast. You must venture into the Mirror Worlds on a two-fold mission – to save these threatened realms and also to search for shards of a legendary magical mirror. You must work as harmoniously as is possible as you fight the Oily Nothing, seek rare treasures and pray to your gods; all in the hope of finding personal salvation…and ridding the land of a terrible threat.
“You look upon many domains; all drift in a boundless sea. Each mirror will speak you true or false, but all house lands scribbled from the imagination of the greatest creator. All hoard treasure and danger; all whisper of secrets and nightmares; and all may eventually fall to the Oily Nothing – some already have”.
Collect crystal, twist time…
and avoid the abyss.
How to Play
Step 1:
Play through the 3 part Tutorial and then choose which Mirror World you wish to explore – Garnet or Jasper. After familiarising yourself with both worlds, dive into the first scenario of an epic 11 part Campaign. Click the right Setup and let a mix of Locations, Mysteries and Encounters unfurl like a tapestry before your eyes…
Step 2:
All heroes are not created equal. Decide on a character, take their Character Board and unwrap their asymmetry. Let unique skills, weapons and equipment shape each adventure. No two plays will be the same.
Step 3:
Prepare for the worst by praying to the best. Using a unique system of recital and memory recall, pick your Mantras and chant them correctly to gain Mirror Points to use in battle.
Step 4:
Once preparations have been made and locations explored, there is the inevitability of battle. Here, monsters spawn, skills are played and the roll of violence is swayed by changing Initiative and Monster and Player AI Dice.
Step 5:
After battle, rest…surely? No. The world does not stand still and indeed sinks ever towards oblivion. Darkness drops and Corruption affects even the heroes…as chaos deepens for another round.
Victory!
At the apex of the world stands a fearsome foe – a creature that sits as king of its kind, and one infused by the invading darkness. A Final Boss must often be defeated to end a scenario, but it will not be easy. A Reinforce Deck could be utilised to bolster your enemy…and you may already be weakened by your rush through the crumbling world.
